Griffith Science Education Alliance in partnership with Rotary hosts four Science and Engineering Challenges in South-East Queensland. Two events in South Brisbane at Canterbury College on the 4th and 5th of June and two events at Queensland Academy of Health Sciences on the 7th and 8th of June, in school Term 2.
The Challenge is open to all schools with a hotly contested 8 school places each day. Schools can register teams of up to 32 students from Year 9 and 10. The Science and Engineering Challenge was developed by the University of Newcastle to inspire young people, through fun and practical hands-on activities, about current and future opportunities available in STEM.
Winners from each Regional Challenge proceed to the State Challenge, with the opportunity to continue through to the National Challenge if successful.
It is one of our most popular events and registrations for over 1,000 places often sell out within an hour of registrations opening. In 2018, registrations will open at 9am on Wednesday 18 April. One school registration costs $440 for 32 students and will need to be paid via the Griffith PAY link to complete the registration process. Registration is essential.
