Sharny Russell is one of Australia's premier jazz vocalists and song-writers, recording on the ABC Jazz Label and winning the 2004 APRA Jazz Award. With her unique, spontaneous arranging ability, Sharny is just as much at home on the piano as she is on the microphone. In her warm, intimate, classically-informed jazz style, she will take you on a journey through some of her own originals, as well as work from her favourite composers. Admission free

Queensland Symphony Orchestra's horn section in concert with Queensland Conservatorium horn students will give you a taste of the incredibly diverse range of music available for modern horn ensemble. The concert features performances on the Natural Horn and Wagner Tuba. $15/$10 at the door
