Brisbane South Science and Engineering Challenge

The Science and Engineering Challenge was developed by the University of Newcastle to inspire young people, through fun and practical hands on activities, about the opportunities available in science, technology and engineering. The Challenge is open to class-sized teams of year 9 and 10 high school students, with the aim to engage them in science and engineering activities with minimum introduction and theory, enabling them to explore scientific principles for themselves.

EX.I.T.E Camp

IBM has run EX.I.T.E. (Exploring Interests in Technology & Engineering) Camps since 2001. The Camps are targeted at 13-16 year-old female students to help further their interest in taking maths and science classes throughout high school. The students will learn about technology and engineering from IBM and Griffith University specialists through fun and hands-on activities. The students will also have the chance to network with role models.

Billions of people around the world, through no fault of their own, struggle just to take part in life. What if there was a way to turn this around? What if sport was involved? Can we really use sport to help those in need?
