Conservatorium Opera: The Rake's Progress

The Rake's Progress by Igor Stravinsky is one of the most important operas of the 20th century. In this modern morality tale, based on Hogarth's famous drawing of corruption and debauchery in 19th century London, Starvinsky and his librettist WH Auden trace the decline of their anti-hero Tom Rakeswell who, having sold his soul to the devil, descends into madness and despair. $38/$26.50/$21.50 Bookings: qtix 136 246 or www.qtix.com.au
