Clocked Out: Early Warning System
At a time when many classical composers are wondering "what's next", composer John Luther Adams has come into his own. Alaska is home to him, and Adams' music reflects its purity and a great sense of wonder of the natural world. In Adams' percussion piece Strange and Sacred Noise, non-pitched instruments combine to communicate some of the immediacy and inscrutability of his icy, frozen environment. $15/$10 at the door
