Griffith Asia Institute Research Seminar: Chasing the Frontier: The Challenge of Late Innovation in China and India

Andrew Kennedy explores the motivations behind each country's pursuit of technological leadership in recent decades. He then outlines a theoretical framework that highlights the central policy challenges facing late innovators and explains how these challenges remain relevant in a globalizing world. In the final part of his presentation, he employs this framework to explain China and India's divergent trajectories in innovation.
