What should be the response to the domestic and international aspects of pervasive corruption, when disrupting such corruption might pose serious threats to political and economic stability? What should be the response to other abuses of public office - and other abuses of public coffers - in the face of such threats? Looking beyond classic corruption concerns, Dr Nili elaborates on implications for a range of concrete policy problems, with emphasis on cases in Asia.

Perspectives Asia Lecture: Australian values in a time of disruption

Penny is the Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs and a member of the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security. In 2013 Penny was appointed Leader of the Government in the Senate. After the change of Government she was appointed Leader of the Opposition in the Senate. Penny is the first woman to hold both these roles.
