Professor McColl draws our attention to the fact that with an increasingly complex health care system the contemporary health professional has an additional responsibility to contribute beyond the individual patient and actively support a safe and effective health system. In this presentation the concept of health system stewardship will be explored in the context of the continuum of health professional education and training.
