The seminar will include presentations from the Office for Research (how to make sure you follow the grant rules), the Legal Services Unit (what the agreement really means), Purchasing (how to buy stuff), People and Wellbeing (how to employ staff), Finance (how not to go over or under budget) and the Library (how to safely store the data).

Expanding your Statistical Universe from Hypothesis Testing to Modelling
In this workshop we walk you through the appropriate use, and practical ramifications, of using different statistical paradigms to approach a simple problem, involving inference about a probability. We use an interactive exercise designed to engage multiple senses, to help through the rather abstract notions involved.This session will be interactive and will involve discussion in small groups.
