Twilight workshop - Emotional Fitness by Design
This event will be a twilight workshop at the East Leagues Club, Coorparoo with Cynthia Morton, Author, Blogger, Lecturer and Founder of Emotional Fitness. The topic will be Emotional Fitness by Design.This workshop explores the "four seasons of the heart" (anger, change, sadness and growth) and provides guidance on how to "hearticulate' your truth with confidence, clarity and calm assertion.

Twilight workshop - Formative Assessment and Feedback by Design
This workshop draws upon research to explore ways that formative assessment and feedback can be made effective for students and sustainable for teachers. The workshop begins by examining prerequisites of an effective feedback culture before introducing a feedback cycle to foster student self-regulation. Practical examples of the application of formative assessment and effective feedback processes in the classroom will be discussed.

PDN Leadership Breakfast - The Y Connect Project
The Y Connect Project was a 2.5-year school-university-artists partnership project funded by the Queensland Department of Education. âWithin the project teachers and artists collaborated in English, Mathematics, and Arts classrooms. The findings reveal that six connections critical for student learning and wellbeing were enhanced, with one of these being connection to learning.

Each year, the Professional Development Network (PDN) committee organise a series of provocative, helpful and informative leadership sessions in one of three formats.This event will be a twilight workshop at the Broncos Leagues Club in Red Hill with Peter Ellerton, Curriculum Director, Critical Thinking Project, University of Queensland. The topic will be Cognition by Design.
