Cutting Edge 4 Kids!

For the last 10 years, Griffith University has been taking cutting-edge sciences from our research laboratories, field sites and institutes to teachers. This year, we are working with our Griffith Sciences STEM Ambassadors to do the same thing for Year 5 & 6 students around STEM!
Held in a conference style, complete with Keynote speaker and conference sessions to choose from, students are immersed in hands-on STEM challenges on either Gold Coast or Mt Gravatt campus.

The STEM Ambassador Conference is the premiere event for Griffith Sciences STEM Ambassadors and their teachers.

This leadership conference gives STEM Ambassadors the opportunity to receive leadership training and plan their school's individual action plan and strategy. Held during World Science Festival, it inspires students to be STEM leaders on a world stage.

World Science Festival -Street Science!

Street Science! is a free two-day family-focused program that provides the perfect setting for tiny tots to teenagers and the young at heart to discover and enjoy the wonders of science. Science on the GO! will once again be bringing the very best Cutting Edge STEM research from our remarkable University to budding scientists, engineers and tech entrepreneurs wanting to be engaged in our action-packed program.

Science and Engineering Challenges

Griffith Science Education Alliance in partnership with Rotary hosts four Science and Engineering Challenges in South-East Queensland.
Two events in South Brisbane at Canterbury College on the 27th and 28th of May and two events at Queensland Academies - Health Sciences campus on the 30th and 31st of May, 2019.
The Challenge is open to all schools with a hotly contested 8 school places each day. Schools can register teams of up to 32 students from Year 9 and 10.

Science Trivia Challenge

As part of the 2019 National Science Week, the Griffith Science Education Alliance will host the STEM Trivia Challenges on Tuesday 13 August. Held across two age groups, with the teacher's competition running in conjunction with the senior student's competition, it's a fun-fueled event that gives everyone the chance to celebrate and demonstrate their STEM knowledge!
With brain-buster audience questions and great prize giveaways, this event is not to be missed!
