MHIQ Program Seminar Series Disability & Rehabilitation GCOREAssoc Professor Justin Fernandez will discuss efforts to encapsulate traditional continuum muscle mechanics models with machine learning for rapid prediction and translation to the clinic. Secondly, I will discuss an alternative mechanics-based method to estimate muscle fibre directions compared to diffusion tensor imaging. Both studies will be presented with a focus on the gastrocnemius.
