Bruce Davidson
Partner, Davidson Recruitment
Beginning his career with a leading commercial law firm in Brisbane from 1988 to 1995, Bruce has now been a Partner with Davidson Recruitment since 1996. Bruce is a member of various organisations including the Australian Institute of Company Directors, FINSIA and CEDA.
Bruce provides real insight to people and talent issues for companies and is committed to raising the bar of consulting capability provided by the recruitment industry. He thrives on understanding a client’s needs and formulating a solution to address those needs. Bruce regularly consults to Boards of many key corporations on human resources and industry trends.
One of his greatest achievements to date is helping build Queensland’s most successful recruitment consultancy, along with being in the privileged position of being able to advise some amazing people on their career decisions; playing a part in helping them to focus or re-focus. Bruce’s main passion in life is assisting others to find true happiness, particularly in their working life.
Professor Marie Wilson
Dean (Academic) Griffith Business School
Marie Wilson is Professor of Management and Dean (Academic) of Griffith Business School. She is the former managing director of a multinational medical relief agency, and has been a senior manager in strategy and HRM for 7 public companies, including one of the world’s largest IT companies. She has also been involved in 5 high technology start-ups, and run a New Zealand tourism business for 6 years.
Prof Wilson holds doctorates in Law (JD) and in management (PhD). Her speciality areas are in the management of performance and rewards. She has authored over 80 reports, books, articles and book chapters in the areas of people, management and performance. She wrote a weekly career column for The New Zealand Herald for 5 years from 2002-2007.
