The Griffith University Criminology Research Precinct is home to a wide range of world leading research programs including the Griffith Youth Forensic Service (GYFS); Justice Modelling@Griffith; the Prevention and Developmental Pathways Program; Crime Control and Policy Program; Innovative Justice Program and the Violence Research and Prevention Program.
A focus on prevention underpins all of these research programs. Additionally, each program is led by an internationally respected researcher working with a team of specialists. Research outcomes focus on expanding knowledge about various aspects of crime and crime prevention as well as providing government and community based organisations with up to date information regarding best practices in interventions aimed at reducing crime and its consequences across the community.
