Science, Engineering and Architecture Building opening

Science, Engineering and Architecture Building opening

Griffith University’s vision for the Gold Coast campus has been to create one of Australia’s most modern, large and comprehensive campuses designed to address the higher education needs and aspirations of the Gold Coast community. The Gold Coast campus is now Griffith’s largest campus and is Australia’s fastest growing campus.

The new Science, Engineering and Architecture (SEA) Building

The new building consolidates activities for the Science, Environment, Engineering and Technology (SEET) Group as well as creating a headquarters for the federally funded $50 million National Climate Change Adaptation Research Centre which is responsible for coordinating the management of both national and international programs in climate related research.

In respect of the Science, Environment, Engineering and Technology (SEET) Group, the building will provide a focus for teaching and research in engineering and biological sciences.

The University's exciting new architecture program - the Bachelor of Environmental Design - is also housed in the new building. In addition to a lecture theatre, seminar room, computer laboratory and postgraduate student workstations, commercial activity space has been included to further enhance the strong university-industry partnership base that underpins many existing Gold Coast activities in science and engineering.

The building is also home to the Gold Coast Innovation Centre
