Climate Change and Environmental Management Symposium

Griffith University’s School of Environment through its Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Development for Indonesia (CESDI) invites you and your colleagues to attend and participate in the Climate Change and Environmental Management Symposium to be held the 28, 29 and 30 November 2010 in Mexico City, Mexico.
The Symposium will coincide with the 16th United Nations Convention on Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC) of the parties (COP 16) which is being held in Cancun, Mexico from 29 November to 10 December 2010, please see: http://unfccc.int/essential_background/items/2877.php

This Symposium aims to develop a global environment network of universities and partner with other agencies to work ‘with’ communities in building joint capacity to identify, resources and implement evidence-based Climate Change, Environmental Management and Environmental Engineering research and priority outcomes.

The Symposium will be hosted by Griffith University and is expected to attract delegates from all over the world including speakers from Latin America’s leading universities as well as Europe and other countries.
We invite you to submit an abstract of your research/project paper, together with a 1 page biography in English and photograph in full colour and high resolution by 20 October 2010 by email to: m.corona@griffith.edu.au.

Abstract submissions should seek to address one or more of the following Symposium themes:

  • Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation;
  • Water Management in an Era of Climate Change;
  • Planning Sustainable Cities;
  • Sustainability Indicators;
  • Environmental Management Solutions;
  • Environmental Engineering Applications;
  • Clean Technology; and
  • Clean Technology Research and Industry Applied Projects.
