Supported by the Centre for Public Culture and Ideas, this one-day seminar will bring together established and postgraduate Australian popular music researchers to examine the concept of scene and its application to popular music production, performance and consumption in Australia.

Convened by Professor Richard Peterson, distinguished US sociologist of culture and Emeritus Professor, Vanderbilt University, and Professor Andy Bennett, Griffith University.
