Opening of the Tourism Confucius Institute by The Honourable Jann Stuckey MP, Minister for Tourism, Major Events, Small Business and the Commonwealth Games on Friday 16 November, 2012 at 9.00am.
The launch ceremony will include teaching and formal core activities of the Tourism Confucius Institute. In addtion to The Honourable Jann Stuckey MP, Minister for Tourism, Major Events, Small Business and the Commonwealth Games, Vice Chancellor and President Professor Ian O'Connor, Consul General Dr Sun Dali and China University of Mining and Technology Vice President Song will also officiate at the opening.
This day will be a good experience day for Chinese language and culture. Our Chinese Experience Centre is open. We will have an exhibition of Chinese Tourism artifacts as well as free trial classes for the Chinese courses and a demonstration of traditional Chinese music, calligraphy and paintings. They'll also be a performance of lion dancing and Tai Chi.
