Patrick Troy
This presentation explores the state of urban research in Australia and discusses the limited way in which urban planning draws on the outcomes of research in formulating plans. The seminar briefly reviews the history of the development of planning, the training of planners and the role of the Commonwealth Government in sponsoring urban research.
Professor Troy is an Emeritus Professor and Visiting Fellow at the Fenner School of Environment and Society, Australian National University and an Adjunct Professor in the Urban Research Program at Griffith University
