Ashley Hay‘s most recent novel, The Railwayman’s Wife, was longlisted for this year’s Miles Franklin and Kibble awards and won the People’s Choice award at the NSW Premier’s Prize. She is the editor of this year’s Best Australian Science Writing anthology, and is a regular contributor to Griffith REVIEW.

Gerhard Hoffstaedter is a lecturer in Anthropology in the School of Social Science at the University of Queensland, researching religion, ethnicity and the state, international development and refugees in Southeast Asia. He is the author of Modern Muslim Identities (NIAS Press) and Religion and development: Australian Faith-Based Development Organisations, and co-editor of Human Security and Australian Foreign Policy (Allen&Unwin). He is a contributor to Griffith REVIEW. He also blogs and tweets.

Based in Melbourne, Tom Crago is the owner and CEO of video game development studios Tantalus and Straight Right. Tom’s game companies have more than thirty highly acclaimed titles to their credit. He is the outgoing President of the Game Developers’ Association of Australia and is presently completing a PhD at the Victorian College of the Arts. Flashbacks from the Flow Zone is his first book.
