About the Event: 
 
The forum on Innovation in Development and Collaborative Research in the South Pacific will be an opportunity to hear about on–going research on the Pacific and how development innovation can lead to cost-efficient, faster and more transformative development practices, including through government - university–and business collaborations.
 
About the Keynote Speaker:
 
Andrew Egan, Director, DFAT’s Innovation Hub, Canberra, is a key founding member of the Hub. Prior to joining the innovation hub, Andrew led the DFAT team drafting the Government’s new development policy, Australian Aid. He has led the Department’s Governance Branch and Strategic Planning Branch, as well as serving overseas as counsellor for Australia’s aid program in the Philippines. On joining the Department, he helped establish AusAID’s Office of Development Effectiveness in 2006.
