Guidelines for Research with Indigenous Communities

Guidelines for Research with Indigenous Communities

Principal speaker

Professor Adrian Miller

The seminar will assist researchers to explore key questions about their Indigenous-focussed research and to consider how, having thought through these questions, that research might be enhanced to focus more on benefitting Indigenous communities and populations.
The Seminar will examine Indigenous research methodologies that are emerging from many countries, especially Australia, New Zealand and Canada, and in particular, the developments occurring in the health, humanities and education disciplines. There will also be a discussion on the limited attention given to Indigenous methodologies in many projects and how their incorporation may enhance the quality and impact of the project outcomes.
