AEL Public Lecture - Making great teachers: Global megatrends to Generation Z

Global education megatrends and national policy to teaching Generation Z, Griffith's School of Education and Professional Studies Head, Professor Donna Pendergast, will explore the question, ‘what makes great teachers?’ at the Arts, Education and Law (AEL) Group Public Lecture.

She will discuss:

  • how global education megatrends are reflected in current national school education policy,
  • the unique character of the current generation of young people, how they learn and how this relates to the role of teachers and schooling, and
  • the voice of young people and their views on what makes a great teacher to balance the debate.
