Building Healthy Communities Program: An Update
Health is a continuum that includes states of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing - not merely the absence of disease. Hence, participation in social and community life provide benefits important to an individual’s overall health, wellbeing and survival.
Studying the role of place in health and wellbeing (neighbourhood, workplace, school, family, nature, systems of care) and looking for ways to alleviate problems and promote health across communities.
Menzies Health Institute Queensland comprises of three overarching research Programs. This will be a discussion about strategic initiatives and opportunities on the Building Healthy Communities program, and an update on how groups within the program will be developed.
There will be time reserved for questions and offering of suggestions.
