Griffith Asia Institute and The Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) are pleased to jointly host the 4th Australia-Indonesia Dialogue in Jakarta, Indonesia on 15 November 2016.
The aim of the Dialogue is to bring together experts from Indonesia and Australia to examine the political, economic, social and environmental challenges affecting both countries. The objective is to contribute to the formulation of public policy and research ideas that can contribute to better management of these challenges in Indonesia and Australia.
Both institutions have extensive expertise in politics and economics, applicable to the bilateral relationship.
Starting in 2014, an Early Career Academics (ECA) workshop has been convened in conjunction with the Dialogue. The workshop aims to assist emerging scholars at a variety of Indonesian research institutions and universities to advance their careers, especially through developing research proposals prior to undertaking PhD studies.
