Principal speaker

Ms Adele Bennett

Adele Bennett, Griffith alumnus and filmmaker presents the Sixty Feet of Freedom project.

The film documents three injured veterans as they face their fears and take on the challenge of scuba diving. With Petit St. Vincent in The Grenadines as a backdrop, these heroes are given a passport to another world where their injuries and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) are weightless. This film showcases and explores how scuba diving can be a means of therapy for those suffering from PTSD.

Sixty Feet of Freedom was a finalist in the 2016 Blue Ocean Film Festival in Florida.
