Griffith Asia Institute Student Mobility Program

Program Aims

As part of Griffith's Asian Century Futures Initiative, Griffith University and Peking University have established the Asia Futures Fellows Program for undergraduates. This program aims to enhance opportunities for Griffith and Peking University students to enrich their studies, experience a different culture and make personal and future professional connections while making a difference in their community through volunteering.

The Program

In 2017, there are twenty Asia Futures Fellows, 10 representing Griffith and 10 representing Peking University. All Asia Futures Fellows participated in a one week program held in Brisbane in July as part one of the program. The representatives will convene in Brisbane in July, and then reconvene in Beijing in November to participate in part two of the program. The Brisbane and Beijing programs incorporate a range of activities, including seminars, government and industry briefings. One of the core components and highlight of the program is increasing students' level of knowledge of Chinese culture by working with a charitable cause in Beijing.
