Mr Tony Sheil

Tony leads the research analytics and policy and the research ethics and integrity functions of the Office for Research. He also has primary responsibility for developing the University's submission to the Excellence in Research for Australia initiative and the forthcoming Engagement and Impact assessment exercise. Tony also provides high level strategic and policy advice to the Director Office for Research and the Senior Deputy Vice Chancellor.

Tony Sheil's career in university management spans over 25 years. With degrees in public policy and applied finance, Tony has worked for three universities (Australia and UK) and for the Australian Innovative Research Universities group. Tony is an international contributor to university policy debates on a range of issues including world university rankings, research policy and research performance assessment. He is a member of the Australian Research Council's Steering Group on engagement and impact indicators and a member of the QS World University Rankings Advisory Board.
