Topic 17: Research at Queensland Health: Contracts and Governance How to

Host - Professor Keith Grimwood

Abstract

Griffith staff and post-grad students undertaking research at any of the Queensland Health hospital and health services are required to navigate an administrative minefield. Once you have received ethics approval, do you know what you need to fill in or get signed, before you can start your research at a hospital, or before you can get hospital data? This workshop will discuss the Research Governance requirements for the various Hospital and Health Services, focusing mainly on the Site Specific application and the Griffith/HHS contracts needed.

Target Audience

Griffith staff - in particular researchers and post-grad research students.
