Queensland Creativity Summit 2018: Initial Teacher Education

Queensland Creativity Summit 2018: Initial Teacher Education

Griffith University's School of Education and Professional Studies, with the support of key stakeholders the Queensland Council of Deans of Education and the Queensland College of Teachers, is staging a Summit to discuss how initial teacher education programs can best prepare the creative educators of tomorrow. The Summit will consider:

- Teaching creatively - using novel and inventive approaches to making learning more engaging, interesting and effective; and
- Teaching for creativity - approaches designed to develop and enhance learners' own creative thinking processes.

and we will explore strategies for equipping teachers with the knowledge, skills and values required to contribute to the creative futures for all young Australians.

We are seeking School Leaders from all school systems and sectors in Queensland, Deans and Academics from higher education institutions, initial teacher education students and peak organisations across Creativity, Science and The Arts.

Join us for a highly interactive conversation with contributions from guest speakers, expert panel discussions and interesting case studies. All attendees will shape the summit outcomes via group discussion and shared digital platforms to produce an actionable communiqué.
