2018 Affordable Housing Symposium: Whole of Life Approach to Sustainable and Affordable Living Choices

2018 Affordable Housing Symposium: Whole of Life Approach to Sustainable and Affordable Living Choices

Housing affordability has become one of the key social, economic and political challenges that Australian society faces. In collaboration with the National Affordable Housing Consortium (NAHC) and Sustainable Living Infrastructure Consortium (SLIC), Griffith University is proud to organise the Affordable Housing 2018 Symposium. The theme of this year's symposium is "Build-to-Rent and Whole of Life Approach to Sustainable and Affordable Living Choices".

The focus of the symposium is on how to deliver and manage Build-to-Rent within a whole of life approach, and how it impacts on government, investors, the community sector and tenants and what its potential economic and social externalities are. The symposium will gather high quality research on different aspects of social and affordable housing. We are seeking submission of papers with a focus relating to housing affordability and social housing within Australia and internationally. Relevant topics include, but are not limited to:

- Build to Rent Model
- Management Investment Trust for Affordable Housing
- Housing Affordability
- 'Whole of life' Sustainability in Residential Buildings

Interested authors should submit abstract, papers or ppt slides via email by the deadline Sept. 14, 2018. Authors of accepted papers will be notified by Sept. 28, 2018. Accepted papers will be eligible to win a AUD$500 cash prize for the Best Paper Award.
