Each year, the Professional Development Network (PDN) committee organise a series of provocative, helpful and informative leadership sessions in one of two formats.

This event will be a twilight workshop at the Broncos Leagues Club in Red Hill with Peter Ellerton, Curriculum Director, Critical Thinking Project, University of Queensland. The topic will be Cognition by Design.

The need to teach critical and creative thinking in a rapidly changing future has never been so important. Teaching thinking from praxis to practical, requires transformational and instructional leadership from school leaders and teachers to share in a collective inquiry, professional learning and reflection in action. Teachers have the highest influence on student learning, but do not always have the mechanisms, systems or leadership to improve what it means to be effective. Teaching for thinking inspires teachers to build efficacy of the team and be the expert teachers our students need for tomorrow.
