Abstract

Centrelink uses "the couple rule" to determine whether a person should be considered a member of a couple for social security purposes. For women attempting to leave a violent partner, the couple rule can cause difficulty.

Register now to learn more about new research into how the couple rule affects women experiencing domestic violence and hear what the research recommends for policy and practice.

This webinar offers important information for Centrelink staff, Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) staff, domestic violence sector professionals and policymakers.
