Dr Joanna Kyriakakis
Abstract
The proposition that courts enforcing international criminal law should hear cases involving business actors that are involved in atrocities has been on the cards for some years now. There are a number of recent suggestive steps in that direction, however the proposal still draws objections and remains a matter of some controversy. In this talk, Joanna identifies some of the concerns raised by the proposal of prosecuting business actors for international crimes to tease out the depth of challenge they pose.
