Griffith Asia Institute State of the Neighbourhood Report 2019
Griffith Asia Institute State of the Neighbourhood Report 2019

Join us at CEDA's annual event The Neighbourhood Forum where the Griffith Asia Institute is launching the 2019 State of the Neighbourhood report. The report engages business and industry leaders in the key themes and dynamics underpinning Australia and Queensland's strategic positioning within the Asia-Pacific region. The report provides an opportunity to recast some of Australia's key foreign, economic and development issues from a distinctively Queensland perspective.

The report places emphases on Australia's near neighbourhood of Southeast Asia and the South Pacific offering a fresh perspective on the neighbourhood. This year the report offers insights into significant issues facing it, including:

• Transforming geopolitical dynamics of a changing region;

• Shifting economic and trade patterns across the Asia Pacific;

• Queensland's Asia-Pacific engagement;

• Australia's engagement with Pacific island partners;

• Business and climate change leadership;

• Rule of law and human rights issues in Southeast Asia; and

• Sustainable water management in the Asia Pacific
