About the day
Year 10, 11 and 12 students are invited to attend the annual Griffith Business School Careers in Commerce Experience Day. Students will gain insight into the exciting career choices available to them as commerce graduates, and they will hear from speakers who have used their commerce qualifications to forge successful careers in the diverse areas of accounting, business law, economics, finance and financial planning.
Session information
The day consists of the following hands on sessions:
Commerce Careers Challenge: Career insights presented by a panel of commerce industry professionals
Accounting: CPA Australia will facilitate an interactive quiz about all things Accounting
Finance: Get your think on! This gameshow style activity will give students exposure to different elements of the finance industry
Financial Planning: Participate in a budgeting activity designed to demonstrate "real world" financial decisions
Economics: Experience the thrills of game theory put into practice with students competing to win real money
