Join us and our panellists as they share their insights on a country and its people at this critical juncture as they discuss pro-democracy protests in the unique political environment of Thailand.
(moderator) Tamerlaine Beasley is Managing Director and Founder of Beasley Intercultural a cross-cultural training and consultancy company. She is an expert presenter and facilitator who enables effective collaboration and communication in diverse and global workplaces. She is a member of the Board of the Australia-ASEAN Council for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Tamerlaine speaks Thai and has studied Lao and Bahasa Indonesia.
Dr Pandit Chanrochanakit is an Assistant Professor at Department of Government, Faculty of Political Science, Chulalonglorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. He is well regarded for his expertise in visual and cultural politics, contemporary Thai art to Thai contemporary politics.
Gridthiya Gaweewong founded arts organization Project 304 in 1996, and is currently Artistic Director of the Jim Thompson Art Center, Bangkok. Her curatorial projects have addressed issues of social transformation confronting artists from Thailand and beyond since the Cold War.
Matt Wheeler is a Senior Analyst, South East Asia for the Crisis Group based in Bangkok. He researches and produces Crisis Group reports and briefings focusing primarily on political conflict in Thailand and the insurgency in Thailand's southernmost provinces.
