Want to get hands on experience in data science but haven't got any experience?

Interested in starting to code in Python or Bash but not sure where to start?

We are pleased to announce that eResearch will be running an Introduction to Python - Software Carpentry Workshop. Python is a versatile language great for data pre-processing, modelling, data science, building websites, Raspberry Pi's and more. This workshop will also cover Bash and Git.

This workshop is at an introductory level, for those who have never programmed before. No prior knowledge is needed. These classes are open to any researcher, research students and general staff members.

At this stage we will be running this workshop in person at the Nathan campus over 3 days from 9am to 4pm, but we may have to run the workshop online, dependent on COVID restrictions. The dates are Wednesday 12th, Thursday 13th, Friday 14th May 2021.

Please note that this workshop is capped at 20 participants. If you would like to be added to a waiting list, or are interested in other technical workshops please click here.
