Dr Mia O'Brien, Senior Lecturer, Griffith University and Lead Researcher - Positive on Purpose Lab
As 2022 continues to challenge and disrupt, leaders have the opportunity to shape new ways of working and to engage colleagues and teams in creating stories of success.
In this interactive session we explore four key practices that leaders can embed within day to day activities to cultivate a culture characterised by collaboration, optimism and energised capability. The four practices are:
i. Nuture growth
ii. Enable strengths
iii. Build psychological resources
iv. Reframing the stories we tell ourselves
The session will unpack the nub of each practice, outline the evidence base and consider concrete actions that enable these practices to become a hallmark of engaging with staff, students, industry and community.
