Title: Australian Teletrial Program (ATP and Queensland Regional Clinical Trials Coordinating Centre (QRCCC)

Seminar Overview -

The Commonwealth awarded $75.2m over five years to Queensland Health for the Australian Teletrial Program (ATP). Queensland Health will lead this program with the help of our counterparts in other states and territories (except NSW and ACT). The Queensland implementation of the ATP will be led by the Queensland Regional Clinical Trial Coordinating Centre (QRCCC) which has been established in Townsville and will coordinate the setting up of clinical trial clusters using the Australian Teletrial Model (ATM).

Patients in Queensland now have access to clinical trials closer to home. The grant supports all sixteen Hospital and Health services in Queensland. Using this model allows the reach and has the potential to Close the Gap in health outcomes for all Queenslanders. Developing the clinical trials workforce capacity and capability is one of the QRCCC key deliverables as is building an interconnected clinical trials system.
