Are you applying for promotion, or thinking of applying, in 2024 or 2025?

A case for promotion is expected to show evidence of sustained achievement and impact in the areas you are applying : teaching excellence, research excellence or both.

This two-hour seminar will cover:
- using an impact communication framework to help craft your promotion narrative.
- how to evidence your research and teaching impact.
- tips for collecting qualitative evidence such as testimonial quotes.
- locating scholarship and research metrics in SciVal (short demo).
- using Symplectic and the Academic Dashboard to evidence impact.

Audience: This workshop is for academics intending on applying for promotion in 2024 or 2025.

On completion of this workshop, participants will :
- Understand an impact communication framework as a tool to write about research and/or teaching excellence and impact.
- Recognise ways to evidence research and/or teaching excellence and impact.
- Gain familiarity with locating citation metrics in SciVal.
- Understand how to update your Academic Dashboard.
