Showing that your research is influencing policy is a great way to demonstrate the impact of your research. However, understanding and demonstrating your policy impact can be difficult.

This workshop will discuss what policy impact is, how you can design it into your research, and how you can demonstrate it.

This will include a short introduction to policy and policy impact, a guide to databases that can be used to locate policy citations, and a discussion on what other evidence you can use to develop a policy narrative.

During this session, we will discuss :
• what is policy
• designing policy impact
• databases to locate policy citations
• policy impact narratives

Audience: The session is most suitable for researchers planning to apply for grants in the coming year.
