Accountability, Sustainability and the World's Largest Corporations: Of CSR, Chimeras, Oxymoron and Tautologies

This open lecture, presented by Professor Rob Gray, will re-examine the general but unsubstantiated claims made for CSR and sustainability and the implications of this for accountability. The presentation will delve into the struggle over meaning and empirical significance of sustainability, and asks the question: can a western company be profitable, responsible and sustainable?
