Physics Lecture Series 2013 - Using a Time Machine to Explore Atomic Physics
How long does it take an electron to orbit on atom? Answer: an attosecond (a billionth of a billionth of a second). What happens when you pulse laser for an attosecond on different materials? A new x-ray light source that can effectively freeze time and control these very fast atomic and molecular processes. If it all sounds a bit like sci-fi come along and found out more about this ground-breaking research from Australian Attosecond Science Facility, at Griffith University.
New grading schema
From 2013 the University is replacing the current descriptive grading schema (HD, D, C, P, F, etc) with a numeric grading schema (7-1) for courses commencing after 1 January 2013. Go to the Exams and assessment website for more information.
