Physics Lecture Series 2013 Quantum Information Science in Optical Waveguides

Until recently, proposals for quantum photonic architecture comprised of large-scale (bulk) optical elements, leading to severe limitations in miniaturization, scalability and stability. Optical waveguides are an ideal technology for the implementation of quantum circuitry since they provide miniaturisation and stability. Come and find out how this research will be implemented into several integrated quantum photonic devices suitable for use in quantum information processing.

Working to your strengths

Professor Kerrie Unsworth, University of Western Australia, will look at a range of skills that are needed by both postgraduate students and academics alike, to be successful at designing different types of research, writing, reviewing, getting grants, teaching and so on, whilst integrating your own strengths.
