Plans are well under way for the Tax Symposium, with 13 speakers speaking on topics from tax complexity, cryptocurrencies and tax literacy. The symposium is schedule for Friday 9 July 2021 from 8.30am to 5pm - will be both online or face-to-face at the Ship Inn, South Bank, Brisbane.

Dr Anna Powles is a senior lecturer with the Centre for Defence and Security Studies at Massey University, New Zealand, specialising in geopolitics and security in the Pacific Islands region. Her current research projects examine the operation of the Australia-New Zealand alliance in the Pacific; how strategic competition is intersecting with local dynamics in the Pacific; and the shaping of Pacific regional architecture and order.
