Sullivan+Strumpf presents Brisbane Brief a pop-up exhibition in Brisbane

Sydney commercial art gallery, Sullivan+Strumpf is excited to announce Brisbane Brief - a new 10-day day pop-up exhibition at POP Gallery 14-25 August 2019.

Showing over 10 days, Brisbane Brief presents a selection of new and recent works by some of Australia's leading contemporary artists, including Karen Black / Gregory Hodge / Alex Seton / Joanna Lamb / Gonkar Gyatso / Eko Nugroho / eX de Medici / Lindy Lee / Hiromi Tango / Ramesh Mario Nithiyendran / Glenn Barkley / Tony Albert / Sam Leach / Dane Lovett.

Featured artists include, Brisbane artists Tony Albert, Karen Black and Lindy Lee.

Brisbane Brief is TONY ALBERT's first showing since his exhibition at Queensland Art Gallery of Modern Art, Visible in 2018, and will include recent works from his Wonderland exhibition in Sydney (May 2019).

Having just returned from the Glasshouse Stonehouse Arts Residency in France, KAREN BLACK is showing new works, exhibited for the first time at Brisbane Brief.


The exhibition will also feature works by Brisbane born and raised LINDY LEE, who is currently showing at the Brisbane Art and Design exhibition at the Museum of Brisbane. We are proud to present her works in her hometown.

Brisbane Brief is the second pop-up exhibition in the city for Sullivan+Strumpf, founders and directors, Joanna Strumpf and Ursula Sullivan, who are originally from Brisbane and are delighted to bring the gallery's artists' works to Queensland.
