Enveloped explores the immersion and reflection of self in one's immediate surroundings. The works visualise the unease felt in being overwhelmed by and lost in one's daily experiences. Both artists construct images that meld peripheral space and objects into figmented imaginings.
Isabella examines the embodied experience of isolation and repossession as a series of absurd, composed scenes. Her work devolves the relationship between self and objects, forging a new form of self-companionship.
Kathleen's paintings visualise the fragility of self-image by abstracting reflections of daily travel and domestic routines. Her self-portraits veil and unveil their subjects to capture figments of transient moments and memories.
