Twilight workshop - Strategic Thinking by Design
Each year, the Professional Development Network committee organise a series of provocative, helpful and informative leadership sessions in one of two formats. This event will be a twilight workshop at East Leagues Club with Wade Haynes, Executive Principal, Brisbane State High School and Kim McNamara, Principal, West End State School.

Teaching Analysis & Evaluation
This presentation will focus on the explicit teaching of analysis and evaluation. Dr Bourke will explore how these skills are currently taught in line with Queensland and national syllabi. Then, she will further explore if the teaching of these skills will change with the implementation of the new curriculum.

Understanding the literacy profiles of students with autism to support learning and development during the early years of schooling
Students with autism are at increased risk of persistent reading difficulties. This presentation will focus on current evidence-based practice for providing reading instruction for young school-age students with autism.
